Have
you been awakened by a sharp jabbing pain down your abdomen so hurting you can
barely stand straight or have you felt a sharp pain pierce down your pelvic
area while you were walking, so bad that you had to catch your breath for a
while and pause your movements. These little pain streaks here and there are
most taken for granted by most ladies, we want to say to ourselves, “ I’m okay,
it’s just one of those things, it will pass”.
Sometimes
it is the pre-menestural pain, it’s so bad you think it will take your life but
after a relief, you diagnose yourself as , “hormones acting up”.
Probably
it is just the case of clots during your
monthly cycle, it’s suddenly getting heavier than your average over the years and then we find another excuse and
shove the issue down the drain.
We
have to come to point that visiting the hospital is not death sentence. One of
the major causes of death is actually the opposite negligence of an issue.
These
issues should not be taken likely;
·
A period that is not within
the 3-5 days range. If your menstrual flow was always 5days and it begins to
exceed, kindly visit the doctor.
·
If during your cycle you
experience heavy clots.
·
If you have excessive pain
during your cycle.
·
Dramatic weight loss.
One of the commonest causes of the symptoms above is
Fibriod also known as Leiomyomas, it’s in most cases a non cancerous tumour
that forms in the Uterus.
Another cause
can be due to hormonal changes.
It could also
be the effect of steroid related drugs or
medication basically.
Enlarged
Uterus
Endometriosis is an often painful disorder in which tissue
that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside
your uterus (endometrial implant). Endometriosis most commonly involves your
ovaries, bowel or the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may
spread beyond your pelvic region.
The above points may not be any of the causes of your issue
if you have any of these symptoms. It is advised that you see a doctor for
diagnosis and advice. Remember it is always better to deal with a problem than
run away from it.
