The First Female President of Brazil Visited Nigeria


Dilma Vana Rousseff

Dilma Vana Rousseff  was born 14 December 1947 is the 36th and current President of Brazil in office since January 2011. She is the first woman to hold the office. Previously she was Chief od staff to the President of Brazil,  serving under President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva  from 2005 to 2010.Wiki

She is one of the few female leaders that have proved that leadership is not gender specific and the height that you attain is predetermined by the efforts you put into what you do.
 
She visited Nigeria on the 22nd - 24th February 2013 ahead of The Federal Government move to sign a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the government of Brazil that will lead to the establishment of a bi-national commission focused on strengthening trade relations between the two countries.

President Goodluck Jonathan met with Madam Dilma Rousseff, President of the Republic of Brazil at the presidential villa, Abuja, where they signed the MoU on mechanism for strategic dialogue. The Brazilian President had paid a one-day state visit to Nigeria after attending the 3rd Africa/ South America summit in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
Nigeria and Brazil first established diplomatic ties in 1961.
