U-17 world cup:Flamnigoes exit with some achievements

Despite the exit of the flamingoes from the 2012 female U 17 world cup, they have left with a first round record of the highest shots on target (47) with France who edged them out on 38. They scored a total of 15 goals in 3 matches only second to the Japanese team with 17 goals.

In only one game they were awarded 32 corners against the host Azerbaijan who they humiliated 11 - 0. They had an impressing performance in the first round as they were not awarded any yellow or red cards.

Unfortunately they went head to head with a determined French side yesterday in the quarter finals which produced no goals in regulation time but saw the french carry the day 5-3 after a penalty shot out.
