The Nigerian female under 20 team have started the tournament on an impressive by defeating the Koreans 2-0. The game had its peculiarities with a goal in each half to take an early lead at the top of Group B.
Ngozi Okobi opened the scoring on the quarter-hour mark, while Desire Oparanozie extended the advantage midway through the second period.
The Falconets were also the runners-up in the last edition in Germany and are tipped to win the trophy this year along with the Japanese, Brazilians etc. They are to face the Brazilians in their next match.
